The Philosophical Background of Neo-Nomadism: the Problem of Identity In the Theory of J.-P. Sartre

The article is devoted to the philosophical prerequisites for the development of the concept of neo-nomadic identity within the framework of the existentialism (on the example of the theory of J.-P. Sartre). The article analyzes its influence on the formation of a new understanding of personal identity as a mobile and unstable phenomenon; denoting characteristic features of identity, actualized in the humanitarian discourse; considered modern ideas about the phenomenon of neo-nomadism; revealed the main characteristics of the personality, presented in the philosophical works of J.-P. Sartre. The author believes that along with the change in the social, cultural, economic situation associated with the processes of globalization, the existentialists proposed a new understanding of the personality as a fluid one, devoid of essentialism of the subject. This vision then developed to some extent in subsequent humanitarian concepts (in particular, in post-structuralism, post-modern feminism, etc.) and formed the basis for the consideration of identity in the concept of neo-nomadism.
