The Fighting near the Village of Neberdjayevskaya in May – July 1943

This article focuses on little-studied episode of the fi ghting that took place on the southern fl ank of the Soviet-
German front in the spring and summer of 1943. In spring and summer of 1943 were intense fi ghting to break through
the famous “Blue Line” – a powerful defensive line of German troops on the Taman peninsula. In May and June 1943,
near the village of Neberdjayevskaya developed a series of battles to break through the main line of defense of the
German troops. The heaviest fi ghting took place immediately after the village Neberdjayevskaya, as well as a number
of important heights: 352.0, 162.1, 141.7, and others. The breakthrough Defense diffi cult for Soviet troops complex nature
of the terrain. The off ensive in the mountains required to involve a signifi cant number of troops and increased losses.
During fi erce fi ghting Soviet troops managed to advance in some areas up to 5 kilometers and take the strategically
important heights 352.0. During the battle for the village Neberdjayevskaya killed several thousand Soviet soldiers. The
enemy also suff ered heavy losses. An important objective of this article is to defi ne perspective places the fi ghting, which
is necessary for the organization of the search teams to fi nd the Krasnodar Territory and the reburial of the remains of
Soviet soldiers who died fi ghting in the vicinity of the village Neberdjayevskaya.
