The article highlights the process of foundation soviet government security authorities in Karachai-Circassian republic; also additional structures, including the detachment ﬁghting against banditism, the units of special functions, the protection of passes during the years of “new economic policy”; the basic problems of their work in Muslim religion in the South of Russia are noted too.
