Semantic and Pragmatic Peculiarities of the Category of Contrast in B. Poplavsky’s Discourse
The article deals with the analysis of lexical and grammatical means of contrast in B. Poplavsky’s prose. It is shown that the author constructs the contrast by the way of syntactic disjunctive relations between antonymic words and between parts of complex sentences with antonymic meaning. The aim of the contrast is reflecting the hero’s polar psychological mode – order and chaos.
