The problem of the chemical evolution of the Universe is discussed. The mechanisms of the synthesis of light and heavy elements are considered separately. The link between the chemical abundance and the structural and evolutional features of our Galaxy is demonstrated. The problem of the solar chemical anomaly is analyzed. The peculiar disposition of the Sun in the Galaxy near the so-called corotation resonance and its resonant interaction with galactic spiral arms can indeed lead to a significant solar wandering on the galactic radius.
